This is a hybrid role, with attendance in the project’s South Wales office two days per week.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and ideally have worked on major UK rail or infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works.

• Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.
• The Commercial Manager will lead the on commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement.
• The Commercial Manager will provide proactive advice and guidance on all change including proposed scope changes.
• Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions.
• Contract administration of industry standard and bespoke forms of contract including NEC and ICC terms.
• Ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly.
• Manage the final account settlements.
• Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors and consultants for projects and programmes.

Essential:

• Degree qualified or equivalent in construction commercial management.

• Experience working on Rail, Infrastructure or Construction

• Ideally have NEC Contract experience.

• Excellent organizational skills.
