Job description

Responsibilities:



  • Planning and Design: Lead and contribute to the planning and design of drainage, hydrological, infrastructure, and traffic systems. This includes conducting feasibility studies, analyzing data, and developing engineering solutions that meet project requirements and comply with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical guidance and support to the engineering team and stakeholders. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to drainage, hydrology, infrastructure, and traffic systems.

  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate engineering projects within the program, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and successful delivery.

  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges related to drainage, hydrology, infrastructure, and traffic systems within the tram or rail infrastructure program. Develop strategies and measures to mitigate risks and ensure the safety and reliability of the systems.

  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the design, construction, and operation of drainage, hydrological, infrastructure, and traffic systems. Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as government agencies, consultants, contractors, and community groups. Communicate effectively to address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure alignment between project objectives and stakeholder expectations.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and assess the performance of drainage, hydrological, infrastructure, and traffic systems. Conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. 

Profile

Skills: 



  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a related field.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in the design and implementation of hydrological.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant engineering principles, codes, and standards.

  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and modeling.

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Knowledge of tram or rail infrastructure systems and their operational requirements is an advantage.
