Job description
The person shall be with a background and qualifications in design and analysis of underground metro & tunnel projects. He/she will be a part of Egis design team, playing a key role in delivering projects.
The main responsibilities include:
Experience in finite element modelling of TBM tunnels and Cross passages will be a plus.
- Calculation of retaining structures such as diaphragm walls, Soldier piles, micropiles walls, secant piles, CB piles, other types of retaining walls.
- Construction stage analysis of underground station box in the finite element method (Plaxis 2D and 3D).
- Service stage 3D modelling of underground station including seismic loading in softwares like STAAD Pro, SCIA etc.
- Performing different safety check of an underground station design like Floatation, Toe stability, Base heaving, Bearing capacity etc.
- Design of Diaphragm wall, station slabs, Entry Exit etc.
Design of Pile and column of underground station in softwares like Oasys Adsec. - Understand interpretation of geotechnical parameters and use of these parameters in modelling.
- Good understanding of drawings (GA Drawing and Reinforcement drawing) and meticulous checking of drawings.
Interact and understand customer’s needs and expectations to enable the effective delivery of quality services. - Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Profile
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Qualification
B. Tech-Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related field (Masters preferred) with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
2. Experience
Calculation experience of underground station and Cut & Cover Box.
Experience of providing deliverables for international projects.
A proven track record of working on projects of underground station and Cut & Cover.
Experience of coordinating with major clients and government authorities
Demonstrated ability of working comfortably with software like Plaxis, STAAD Pro, Oasys Adsec.
